Project Overview: Immigration Office & Café Integration
In today’s evolving world, the concept of work-life balance is being redefined. The project at hand, an immigration office, provided a unique opportunity to challenge the conventional principles of office design by integrating it with a café—a space for conversation, relaxation, and social interaction.
Design Philosophy: Blurring Boundaries and Encouraging Flexibility
From the very beginning of the design process, our goal was to create a space that fosters interaction between the visitors and employees. Recognizing the growing demand for flexible and adaptive work environments, we set out to blur the traditional boundaries between work and leisure, and between formal and informal spaces. Flexibility, as a fundamental concept for the future of office spaces, became a driving force in our approach. From small-scale elements such as furniture to large-scale architectural components like partitions, every detail was designed to promote the free flow of movement and interaction. Breaking Visual Barriers
To achieve the desired open and flexible atmosphere, we removed traditional solid partitions and replaced them with transparent and dynamic panels. These movable panels allow for a seamless transition between different areas of the office, offering flexibility while maintaining a sense of openness. This redesign creates a unified and cohesive spatial experience, where no single area feels isolated from the rest. The consistent visual flow across the space enhances the feeling of openness and collaboration.
The Consultation Area: A Flexible and Adaptive Space
